Come Celebrate the music, culture, art and sound of vinyl records.
Activities will include:
-Turntable experience
-Makerspace
-Make Music Montgomery Contest
-Panel discussion on vinyl recording and collecting
-Preview of “Feast Your Ears” documentary on WHFS with Cerphe Colwell
-Signing of Cerphe’s book Cerphe’s Up
-Record sale by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.
-Make Music Montgomery contest.
-Dress up as your favorite recording artist.
*The various programs will take place at the Silver Spring Library, in the 3rd and 5th floors.*
This event is free. Customers of all ages are welcome. No registration is required.
The event is a collaboration between MCPL, Friends of the Library, Montgomery County(FOLMC), Levine Music, Open Sky Jazz, Friends of the Library Montgomery County, Silver Spring Chapter and Kefa Café.
