Historian, Anthony Cohen, talks about his expedition walking from MD to Canada along the Underground Railroad.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD.

In 1996 historian Anthony Cohen embarked on a two month expedition walking from Maryland to Canada along a route of the Underground Railroad; the secret route to freedom of enslaved Americans. Cohen will discuss his historic trek, and what he discovered on his journey, as well as his plans to retrace the route on the 30th anniversary of the walk in 2026. This will be an event you won’t want to miss!  Ages 10 and up!
