B. Parker Hamilton Library Professional of the Year Award

Given in honor of retired Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) Director B. Parker Hamilton to recognize the excellent work that is carried out in MCPL everyday, and to highlight the best practices of those whose work is especially outstanding.

Cokie & Steve Roberts Award for Literary Excellence

Given in honor of long-time FOLMC supporters, journalists Cokie & Steve Roberts, to recognize an author who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the literary community at large through education, advocacy, or philanthropic contributions.

Charles W. Gilchrist Volunteer of the Year Award

Given in memory of former Montgomery County Executive Charles W. Gilchrist, to an individual, family, family foundation, corporation, or civic group that has demonstrated exceptional service to Montgomery County Public Libraries through volunteer and/or philanthropic support.

Presidents’ Award for Community Partner of the Year

Given in honor of FOLMC Board of Trustee Presidents’ to a business, company, corporation, foundation, or individual that has shown special dedication in working with FOLMC to help further the mission and goals of the organization in support of Montgomery County Public Libraries.
