The position of Mosaic Judge with FOLMC is a volunteer position. This means that, if you accept the role, you give time, effort, and talent to a need or cause without profiting monetarily.

What You Can Expect When Volunteering:

FOLMC (the Organization) values volunteers and will provide you with:
● Description, written or verbal, of your position so you understand your role, including a rubric, program overview, and program rules.
● Orientation and training for the Volunteer position.
● Respect for your privacy, including keeping your personal information confidential.
● A supervisor, so that you have the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback.

FOLMC Expectations of the Volunteer are:
● Serve as a judging official for the Mosaic Creative Wiring Program.
● Evaluate entries based on FOLMC provided criteria and guidelines.
● Attest to having relevant educational and professional qualifications in the field of education and/or writing for middle-grade students as indicated on volunteer application.
● Proficient in English writing and grammar.
● Participate in any required orientation and training programs.
● Provide impartial and unbiased evaluation of all submissions.
● Maintain confidentiality of all submitted materials.
● Adhere to FOLMC’s judging criteria and guidelines.
● Report any deviations or conflicts of interest promptly to FOLMC.
● Understand and adhere to FOLMC and Montgomery County Public Libraries’ rules of conduct [https://montgomerycountymd.gov/library/policies/behavior.html]
● Acknowledges the time commitment required for timely evaluation.
1● Submit entry scores within the specified timeframe.
● Notify the Organization, in due time, if you wish to change the nature of your position, including resignation.

Media Agreement:
● I agree to maintain the confidential information of the Organization.
● Any publicity or media coverage in association with your work must be approved directly through FOLMC Staff.
