Judges

Outlined below are the grade assignments. Click the grade assignment link to view the submissions for your grade. The entries are categorized by type (essay, short story, or poem) under each grade. Please make sure to review each entry under your assigned grade. You may download and/or print the entries for your convenience.

Winners are selected for each entry type for each grade, we typically have nine winners, one per category per grade. Please review and score the entries as such, scoring essays as one group, short stories as another, and poems as the third.

Once you have reviewed your entries, you should complete the online scoring form for each entry in your assigned grade. Please remember, the scoring form is also password protected. You should have received the password previously in an email. In order to help you keep track of your scores, a previous judge created this form. Please feel free to use this guide (or not) as you see fit.

At the top of each scoring form, please select your name from the drop-down menu list of judges. The student number and entry type (found at the top of each entry) are also required to identify the entry being scored. As you complete the scoring form, the subtotals and total score will be automatically calculated. At the bottom of the form you may provide any notes or comments about the entry. When you press submit, FOLMC staff will receive an electronic copy of the scoring form and you will also receive an email confirming the student number, entry type, and total score.
