Are you accepting donations?

Yes, drop off during open hours until 5PM.

Can I get a receipt?

Yes, during normal business hours when you drop off your donation only.

Do I need an appointment to drop off donations?

No, drop off during our open hours.

Can I still order book bundles?

Yes, order here.

Can I drop off donations at both bookstores?

 Yes, for donations of more than 5 bags or 5 boxes, please drop off only at Rockville Bookstore. Click here for the address.

Is there a limit on how many donations I can drop off?

No limit at our Rockville Bookstore! Click here for the address. If you are bringing more than 15 boxes at once, please consider calling the day of your donation so we may prepare to assist you upon arrival: 301-984-3300.

Do books need to be in boxes?

Boxes are preferred, but bags are acceptable, too. Honestly, we are grateful to receive books in any conveyance, though our preferred size is a banker’s box or small moving size box as we find anything larger to be verging on unwieldy.

Can I have my boxes/bags back?

Sure! Please allow time to transfer the donations to our receptacles, but we are happy to return your conveyance(s). To save time, we may suggest swapping your boxes/bags for similar empties that we have on hand, though we understand some boxes and bags do have sentimental value.
